Established by royal decree of King Charles II in 1675, the Royal Observatory became the heart of maritime exploration, astronomy, and timekeeping – with Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) becoming the global standard.

And now, to mark 350 years since its founding, a new UK £2 coin has been issued that you can own in extremely limited Silver Piedfort quality…

  • Struck from a double-thickness Sterling Silver with the addition of 24ct gold plating, this edition offers the highest quality in precision minting, showcasing every intricate detail with a flawless mirror-like background and frosted relief.
