In 2018 The Royal Mint released 26 new 10p coin designs, sparking a nationwide collecting sensation. The series celebrates the A to Z of Great Britain and each coin combines a letter of the alphabet with an aspect of quintessential Britishness.
These are the first commemorative 10ps to ever be produced, with each one struck from .925 Sterling Silver to a Proof finish.
M is for Macintosh
This 10p features a Mackintosh alongside the letter ‘M’. The Mackintosh is a form of waterproof raincoat that was first sold in 1824 and invented by Scotsman Charles Macintosh. As a nation fond of discussing the weather this is a must-have iconic piece of fashion.
Importantly, each coin has a strict limited edition presentation of JUST 15,000 pieces worldwide. But we have JUST 42 of these special issues remaining, and do not expect them to be available for long.
