The Ultra High Relief Battle of Britain Masterpiece Coin
** Less than 10% remaining **
The Ultra High Relief Battle of Britain Masterpiece is more than just a coin.
At its heart, a striking portrait of a pilot in the heat of combat, struck from five ounces of Pure Silver to an Ultra-High Relief, symbolises the determination of the Royal Air Force, while Hurricanes soar overhead.
However, there’s something that really sets this exciting issue apart from the rest ...
It features a piece of legendary aircraft: Hawker Hurricane P2725

Incorporated into the propellor on this coin is an authentic piece of metal from the legendary Hawker Hurricane P2725 (TM-B) - the most famous aircraft of the whole Battle of Britain, flown by Pilot Officer Ray Holmes on 15th September 1940, now remembered as Battle of Britain Day.
With his ammunition spent, Holmes chose to ram a German Dornier bomber that threatened Buckingham Palace.
The Dornier split apart, crashing onto Victoria Station below. Holmes’ own aircraft was torn apart, yet he managed to bail out, parachuting to safety.
His extraordinary act saved the Palace and became one of the defining moments of the battle. The remains of his Hurricane lay buried in London until their excavation decades later in 2004.
Today, a piece of that historic aircraft lives on in this remarkable coin.
Due to the limited nature of the Hawker Hurricane metal, only 495 of these coins have been issued for release.
