2026 UK Queen Elizabeth II Ian Rank-Broadley CERTIFIED BU £5
Portraits of a Queen – The Fourth Effigy
2026 marks 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, and The Royal Mint continues its Portraits of a Queen £5 coin series with the fourth release, featuring Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Her Late Majesty.
First introduced on UK circulating coinage in 1998, Rank-Broadley’s effigy offered a more realistic and authoritative depiction of the Queen, drawing inspiration from historic coinage traditions. It became one of the most recognisable portraits of Elizabeth II during the later years of her reign.
For this centenary edition, the portrait has been remastered by Gordon Summers, Chief Engraver at The Royal Mint, and struck to Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
